# Content Calendar module

## Install the module

Before installation please check that the below system requirements are met. You can ask your webhoster if the server you are working on supports them. You can also find the information in the Joomla! backend under System > System information.

 
## General requirements

 
- Joomla! 4.x or 5.x

 ## Preparations

 
- Create a full backup of the website. You can use [Akeeba Backup](http://www.akeeba.com) to create a quick one
- Upgrade to the latest version of Joomla!

 
## Installation (upload & install)

 The installation of our extensions is done with the Joomla! installer. Anyone that is already using Joomla! shouldn't have any problem, for those that are somewhat new in Joomla! we'll explain the steps required to make the installation of the extensions in your website.

 1) After downloading the installation file from our website, go to your Joomla! administration and go to **System > Install > Extensions**

 2) Then select the file in the tab **Upload Package File**, after a few moments you'll get a message saying the extension is installed.

 3) The module will be published automaticly. Go to **Extensions** » **Extension Manager,**find the Content Calendar (Administrator module) and see if the module is **Published**.

 Now you're ready to start using our extension!

 
## Installation (Install from web)

 1) Go to your Joomla! administration and go to **System > Install > Extensions**and select the**Install from Web**tab

 Search for **Joomill** to find my extensions

## Configuration

Here is the full list of the options you can find in the **Content Calendar administrator module settings**.

| Categories | Select the categories which you want to display in the content Calendar. You can select 1 category or multiple categories. Don't select any category will show all articles. |

  

 
## Display Settings

| Layout (PRO only) | Choose Default or Week view |
| Show Last week (PRO only) | *When you choose "weeks-layout" above*, select Yes to display the previous week, making it easy to review recent history. |
| Number of upcoming weeks (PRO only) | *When you choose "*weeks-layout*" above,* select the number of weeks you want to show.  |

| Colors (PRO only) | Choose By Category, By Tags or By Author |
| Catogory Colors (PRO only) | *When you choose "By Category" above,* select the desired category and its corresponding color. Use + to add a new category or – to remove an existing one. |
| Tag Colors (PRO only) | *When you choose "By Tag" above,* select the desired tag and its corresponding color. Use + to add a new tag or – to remove an existing one. |
| Author Color (PRO only) | *When you choose "By Author" above,* select the desired user and its corresponding color. Use + to add a new author or – to remove an existing one. |

 
## Add articles settings

| Add articles (PRO only) | Set to Yes to show the add-article-button when you hover over the calendar. When you click the Add Article button on a day, a new article will be created for that specific selected day. |
| Default publication time (PRO only) | When you click the Add Article button on a day, a new article will be created for that specific selected time. |
| Default category (PRO only) | When you click the Add Article button on a day, a new article will be created for that specific selected category. |

## Edit an article

Just click on a title to edit the article. When you close the edit-screen, you return to the Joomla Home Dashboard.

## Add an Article

**Add an article** is only available in the PRO version.  
Unlock this and other features by upgrading to **Joomill Concent Calendar PRO**

 Enable this option in the module settings, then click the + icon on the desired date (the icon appears on hover). The article will be created on the selected date, using the default time and category defined in your settings.

## Move article to another day

**Move an article** is only available in the PRO version.

 Drag and Drop the article to change the publication date. You can only move to a future date. Dates in the past are disabled. You can also not move articles which are already published.
